Nutrition That Really Works™

Today it seems every manufacturer claims to make the finest products. However, research published in the JANA (winter, 1999 edition) shows the opposite. In their landmark study, they found that only 2½% of nutritional products (randomly selected) were both nontoxic and effective.

In contrast, PRL’s mission is embodied in our slogan, “Nutrition That Really Works”™. We pledge our products have been designed and thoroughly tested to be both nontoxic and effective. To achieve this end, we use the best available quality of raw material and do exhaustive testing to ensure they meet all of our criteria.

Selected herbs must be the right species and harvested at the peak of potency. We use the Ayurvedic grading system for herbal quality, using a scale of 1 to 10, 10 indicating best quality. We are told by exporters that our company is the only Grade 10 importer in the U.S.

PRL: The Excipient-Free Company

We insist that our raw materials contain no toxic tag-along chemicals in processing, including toxic preservatives or toxic flowing agents, such as talcum powder, a suspected carcinogen, or magnesium stearate, both commonly used in high speed encapsulation and in the tableting of nutritional products. Most products do not disclose talcum powder and often, not magnesium stearate on the label, even though they may potentially promote cancer.

Tablets vs. Gelatin Capsules vs. Vcaps

Tablets. In the past, tablets were approved only for short-term use and were never designed to be taken for long-term use because of the flowing agents, binders and glues. Most tablets are made by using high pressure (20,000 pounds per square inch) to compress the ingredients and are then heated in dryers. This process can damage the nutrients. Tablets also incorporate glues, flowing agents and other potentially toxic materials.

Gelatin capsules. Gelatin capsules are absorbed twice as well as a tablet and do not require pressure or heat to capture the vital ingredients. Unfortunately, gelatin capsules utilize a toxic preservative and are made from animal body parts,such as hooves, that carry the risk of prion exposure from BSE (bovine spongiform encephalopathy). In addition, they are twice as expensive as a tablet. Their absorption can be delayed when consumed with cold liquids.

Vcaps (vegetable capsules).
Vcaps are twice as well absorbed as a gelatin capsule, regardless of the temperature of the fluid consumed with the capsule. They have no riskof toxic prion exposure and contain no toxic preservatives. However, they do cost twice as much as a gelatin capsule.

Ideal Cellular Resonance

The form of each cell is now known to be a crystalline matrix, which means it has an ideal resonant frequency. Only nutrients from “once living” sources contain atoms whose spin ahead and spin reverse electrons have aligned to make them pure light. This body of light is unique to once-living source nutrients and is simply not found in synthetic source nutrients. When atoms from living source nutrients of pure light enter the cell, the DNA is upregulated and cell resonance can be sustained or regained provided there are no chemotoxin tagalongs (pesticides,talc, etc.). Only nutrients from once-living sources can sustain or restore the ideal resonant frequency of your body’s cells. Synthetic or toxic nutrients cannot hope to perform this task. They can only be somewhat helpful at best, so we call them transitional. In long-term use, these poorer sources can often lead to additional problems.

The Quantum Nutrition Effect (QNE)

The only way each cell can achieve its ideal cellular resonance is by consuming “live source” nutrients that are “quantum quality” (i.e. exquisitely well-grown and 100% free of toxic chemicals). Only quantum quality nutrients can produce and sustain ideal cellular resonance. When quantum quality phytonutrients are combined together synergistically, their effect is far greater than the sum of their individual benefits by a factor of 2 to 100-fold or more. In fact, they initiate the most rapid restoration of ideal cellular resonance or great health. This “Quantum Nutrition Effect” is a primary force to help you sustain or regain great health.

Creating Quantum Formulas

Each product is clinically tested to make sure the formula works in the real world. Typically, each PRL formula has a featured phytonutrient. To ensure the formula achieves the Quantum Nutrition Effect, co-factors, transporters and essential synergists are used to achieve the most rapid shift to cellular resonance. These support factors are necessary for the typical American who has a rather extensive toxic body burden — never seen before in history.

Persistence

Building a formula that can achieve the Quantum Nutrition Effect is not easy. We perform many clinical trials and numerous formula revisions until we achieve the perfect synergism.

Advanced Photoluminescent Quality Control

100% Testing of All Raw Materials
(Not Just Random Sampling)

In order to produce an outstanding product that is capable of achieving the quantum nutrition effect, it is absolutely necessary to test every container of each nutritional raw material contained in that formula – not just a sample from one or two containers from a large batch. There is simply no short-cut to this extensive testing process.

Even if you trust a particular supplier of raw materials who has a great reputation and has provided you very high quality nutritional raw materials in the past – it is still imperative for you to check every single container of incoming raw materials – because many different types of errors can occur – even when the supplier is very reputable and is truly trying to provide you the best product.

Just a few of the many examples of raw material “errors” (which may or may not have been intentional) that we have “caught” in our extensive checking are: a) the wrong species was provided, b) the raw material was contaminated with pesticides, c) the raw material had been irradiated, d) the raw materials had been damaged due to mishandling (i.e. exposure to excess heat, air, moisture, light, etc.) and e) a deliberate attempt to substitute a similar looking (but cheaper) material instead of the requested material.

Our Signature Quality.

PRL tests every single container in every single batch of incoming raw materials using a highly advanced testing system called photoluminescence technology. Due to wide-spread worldwide contamination and unethical practices (i.e. substituting a cheaper herbal species for a more expensive one, etc.), PRL believes that the only way to absolutely ensure integrity of raw material quality is to test every container in every incoming batch.

In stark contrast, most nutritional supplement manufacturers perform only random testing of their incoming raw materials. For example, in a batch of 100 incoming containers, only 5 containers of the 100 may be randomly selected for testing. Sometimes, raw materials are “spot” tested only several times a year. Often, after initially testing raw materials, later on, no testing of raw materialsis ever performed again – since the manufacturer relies solely on the Certificate of Analysis provided from the raw material supplier. PRL believes that random testing of raw materials can never deliver the best results on a consistent basis – since too many raw material errors (unintentional or not) can occur.

In photoluminescent testing, HPSC (High Performance Crystal Spectroscopy) is used to perform simultaneous multiple scans of each specific raw material using birefringent quartz wedge polarization interferometry via near infrared light (FTNIR). This dual infrared light beam is used to penetrate a container of raw material to a specified depth in the container (even without opening the bag) to read the multiple frequency signature of the raw material but without damaging the raw material. In 10 to 30 seconds, the photoluminescent device generates a distinctive fingerprint graph that is compared to the original specifications for that specific raw material, identifying a “range of confidence” for positive verification of the species and other parameters.

The photoluminescent picture can also identify the presence of heavy metals, organo-phosphate (pesticide residues), excess moisture and much more. If the raw material conforms to previous specifications for that raw material, it “passes” the test. If the raw material does not, it is rejected.

Since this defect is not visible to the naked eye, another manufacturer might have accepted this raw material even though it has significantly less active material and thus, reduced potency.
